Broadcom offers a family of WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple-Access), EDGE (Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution), GPRS (General Packet Radio Services), GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication), and LTE (Long-term Evolution) products for use in cellular phones, cellular modem cards and wireless PDAs. As wireless devices including handsets, data-cards and smart-phones, emerge as the dominant platform for mobile media convergence they are driving the need for higher data rates. Broadcom is developing solutions supporting the next generation of high-speed mobile technologies with a product roadmap that includes base-band processors for WCDMA, HSDPA/HSUPA, HSPA+, LTE and TD-SCDMA , as well as a portfolio of mobile multimedia co-processors. Broadcom will help to build a new generation of mobile devices supporting new applications such as video telephony and messaging, graphics-rich sports and news clips, interactive gaming, location-based services and improved web browsing.

We are hiring an experienced hands-on engineering manager to build and lead a sizable team to integrate and develop TD-SCDMA solution for Broadcom’s cellular baseband platform. In this role, you will

- Help recruit and build a team of 40+ engineers.

- Lead and manage the team on TD-SCDMA protocol stack (L3/L2/L1) integration, development, verification and commercialization.

- Responsible for delivering mature and high performing TD-SCDMA protocol stack, developing TD-SCDMA and 2G/LTE inter-rat functionalities, and integrating TD-SCDMA with Broadcom multi-mode modem platform.

- Work with 3rd party IP vendor to internalize and integrate software IPs.

- Plan project schedule; define requirement, work items and deliverables; and more importantly execute the plan according to the schedule.

- Collaborate with other system, software and hardware teams at multiple-sites to drive platform integration and resolve system level issues.

职位所需技能

Job Requirements - BS and 12+ years relevant experience or MS and 10+ years relevant experience

- 3+ years engineering management and leadership experience with demonstrated achievements and increased responsibility

- Solid hands-on development experience in cellular modem protocol stack (L1/L2/L3) development, particularly in TD-SCDMA

- Proficient in CCSA and 3GPP TD-SCDMA standards, conformance tests, and test equipment

- Good understanding of embedded system, real-time OS, development and debugging tools

- Proficient in C

- Dedicated and results driven

- May require travel domestically and internationally
