Job description
Job Requirements:
1. Design, and implement mixed-signal ASIC characterization and test systems
2. Develop performance models and test parameters for fingerprint sensors and associated circuits. 
3. Design hardware for ASIC and system functions test.
4. Support ASIC design and verification efforts. Design support for internal and customer driven projects
5. Ability to work on a broad variety of tasks, enjoy working in a high paced startup environment.
Desired Skills and Experience
Required Skills:
1. Experience in digital and analog circuit design; special strength in analog circuit design required
2. Experience in design of high-precision circuits for device characterization
3. Familiar with signal integrity issues in test system design
4. Extensive experience in circuit simulation 
5. Strong troubleshooting skills
6. Knowledge of mixed signal ASIC verification methodology
7. Experience in mixed signal ASIC test and characterization
8. Experience with circuit simulation algorithms and tools such as SPICE. 
9. Experience with schematic capture tools such as ORCAD or Viewlogic
10. Familiarity with PCB and IC layout tools 
11. Familiarity with logic simulation tools
12. Experience with use of test equipment such as wafer probe stations, logic analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes etc.
Desirable Skills
1. Experience in product development and design-for-manufacturing 
2. Knowledge of surface-mount technologies 
3. Knowledge of regulatory requirement 
4. PCB design experience 
5. Experience with RFID technologies 
6. Experience with digital IC and microcontroller design 
7. Experience with FPGA and ASIC design
8. Experience with wireless communication methods (ISO14443, 802.15.4, etc). 
9. Experience with programable instrument control systems in languages such as Labview and C.
10. Experience with circuit modeling and simulation in languages such as Matlab and C.
11. Ability to work in a fast paced env that places strong emphasis on sch’d and deliverables
Qualifications
1. M. S. or Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering; higher degrees preferred
2. 15+ years relevant experience in design of analog and digital circuits.
3. Organized, hands-on engineer, capable of working independently without daily supervision
