The Avalon™ video input module provides a flexible video capture
solution, which may be implemented in Altera® Cyclone™ or Stratix®
devices, and has the following features:
■ Component video interface to VGA camera module
■ Color-bar test pattern generator
■ Clipping of input image
■ Horizontal (Y) scaling of input image
■ Vertical (X) scaling of input image
■ Avalon direct memory access (DMA) master to write image(s) to
frame buffer memory
■ Avalon register slave for control and status
