Job description Manage and lead a group of embedded software development engineers, DSP engineers, and support staff Build and maintain a strong team. Train staff appropriately, drive for excellence Plan equipment, resources, infrastructure requirements to ensure that engineering teams are effective Maintain budget and perform engineering evaluations as required Interface with the sales teams, and with customers Coordinate all regional development and support activities Plan new development efforts, provide reliable schedules to internal mgmt Track development schedules, identify risks Track issues and defects and drive to resolution Work closely and coordinate effectively with NB mgmt Report weekly and monthly as appropriate Requirements Strong experience with embedded software development Broad knowledge of telecom technology Knowledge of C/C++, real-time systems 8+ years of experience successfully leading a group of at least 10 engineers Strong writing and communication skills CS or EE degree, Masters preferred VOIP and Datacom experience desirable.
