The DMC library contains a collection of component modules and system implementations, which are intended for evaluation, accelerated design, and development of motor control firmware.

The software is intended to meet these goals, and no optimization is performed.

As system designers implement systems, they must optimize their systems for performance in terms of memory consumption and CPU cycles spent to achieve the given task.

This application report reviews several optimizations to the DMC library code to achieve this objective and provides references to other resources to further optimize available code.
