Sr Firmware Engineer for PC Peripherals

- Five or more years of experience in designing, coding and debugging embedded firmware.

- Read hardware schematics, IC data sheets and language reference manuals.

- Experience writing in the following languages

- 8051 assembler

- ARM 7 assembler

- C and C++

- Windows DDM experience is a plus

- Experience with real-time, multi-threaded RTOS. experience.

- Demonstrate ability to use the following tools:

- IDE (Integrated Developer Environment: Editor, Compiler, Linker, Debugger)

- Software Debugger

- ARM ICE (In Circuit Emulator)

- Scope

- Logic Analyzer

- PROM Programmer

- Soldering Iron

- Experience debugging new system board designes

- Understanding of optical peripherals is a plus. This includes: Interfaces, data rates, media formts and file systems e.g. MPEG(x), CD, DVD, UDF, ISO9660 etc.
