What is a Reference Design Release (RDR)?

Wind River offers a Reference Design Release (RDR) to make our new features and products available ahead of the scheduled commercial releases. The RDR enables you to both evaluate Wind River's upcoming products and to begin your project planning. The Spring 2006 Beta program uses the RDR pre-release software.

The RDR may also include free trial versions of other related Wind River products. These trial versions enable you to evaluate other Wind River products that you may not have used before. Please note that the evaluation period for these trial versions expires when the commercial release ships. Your particular commercial release product may not contain the same product(s) whose software was provided free for limited time evaluation only in the pre-release.

Please be aware that the RDR license agreement, like all evaluation and early release license agreements from Wind River, prohibits the distribution, externally or to any third party, of any communication that discloses the features, functions, or performance characteristics of the software. Additionally, the RDR may not be used for any commercial or productive purpose.

看来WindRiver大约半年就会推出稳定的VxWorks6.3、PNE3.3以及Linux Platform 1.3了。

重要的是WindRiver推出了自己的Linux版本，我曾经比较过它的Linux Kernel，和网络上下栽一模一样。其他的应用程序没有比较。当时狂晕。

根据我的看法，WindRiver主要是占领市场，Linux方面的主要可能是他的开发环境。

如果我想知道x86或者PowerPC的BSP的CDR号，在哪里可以知道

Intel的一时找不到了。
