System Design  leader
MAIN TASKS/IMPORTANT RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervision System Design (3-5 Senior Engineers) and 3 group-leaders in China divided into 4 main areas:

System-Design for Entry Platform
Functional Experts (SOC, Graphics, HW-Interfaces, SW-Architecture, System-Modeling), share expert functions with the German/US team
Strategic Product-Management and Business-Support Function
HW development
Mechanics development
Module & Components
Strategic and Future Oriented:
Develop and communicate a global infotainment roadmap and strategy for entry systems to customers, partners and to the organization
Initiate and lead to develop innovate entry platform systems and products for demonstration and concept development
Initiate competitor analysis to use the results for better handling of RFQs and as an input for the development of the infotainment roadmap/strategy
Develop and maintain key technology relationships with customers and industry leaders
Drive customer RFIs/RFQs in respect to the system-design and coordinate with BUs, CPMs, and CoCs
Responsible for the quality (in-time, in-function, in-budget) of the HW-, Mechanics-, Modules & Components development in China for all contracted infotainment programs

People Development: leadership/mentoring, support for the team, succession planning, resource management

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

University degree Electronic Engineering or comparable education with several years experience in the area of automotive electronics; additional master degree in Marketing would be beneficial
Fundamental knowledge in automotive electronics, microprocessors, vehicle electronics architecture, electronics software architecture/processes, automotive OEM relationships
Experience in leading multi-cultural teams
True professional, business-oriented and result focused. He/she works well organized and methodically to follow-up on projects
He/she demonstrates a high level of energy with strong leadership skills
Work experience in foreign countries (e.g. US, Germany) is beneficial
excellent in presentations, good moderator and communicator with good negotiating skills
